A car collided with a pedestrian on Palmetto Park Road in West Boca Raton around 5:30 a.m. on Friday. The car-pedestrian accident resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian, who has yet to be identified. He was treated for his injuries at Delray Medical and is expected to survive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a drunk driver rear-ended a Dodge Durango on 27th Street Northwest in Naples causing the vehicle to collide with a Honda Odyssey in the oncoming lane. The driver of the Honda Odyssey was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The drunk driver faces several charges including leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality and DUI manslaughter.
