Car accident shuts down I-95 at Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton.

Five people, including three adults and two children, were transported to Delray Medical Center early Saturday morning after multiple cars were in involved in an accident on I-95. The Florida Highway Patrol and Boca Raton Police shut down the highway while Boca Raton Fire Rescue assisted the injured occupants of the vehicles. It appears that an SUV, car and a large commercial truck collided at 3:15 am. The accident happened near the Palmetto Park Road exit on Interstate 95. It was reported by the Florida Highway Patrol that all five passengers of the SUV and the car were transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time. Both of the autos hit the rear of the commercial truck but no one in the truck was injured. The cause of the car accident is unknown as the Boca Raton Police and the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating.
